Reliance Medical Laboratories (RML) is a fully incorporated company serving the medical laboratory industry, by offering laboratory services to medical practitioners and medical institutions in Lesotho with hopes of expanding regionally. RML as an organisation combines the traditional methods of providing laboratory services with innovation and creativity to meet the ever changing market requirements. Histopathology
We offers a comprehensive service in histopathology & Immunohistochemistry which incluldes special stains for infections such as TB, and other complex genetic tests including Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH).
Cytology
We offer body fluids analysis such as pleural/ascitic and knee aspirates, FNA’s (Fine Needle Aspirates), Cervical Pap Smears togther with LBC’s (liquid based cytology) +/- HPV testing and Immunohistochemical cell blocks studies.
Chemical Pathology / DNA / Paternity
We offers routine chemistries including, hormones, cancer makers, liver function, calcium, uric acid, and lipid profile. Urgent test results and critical values informed over the phone immediately after result validation.
Health Screening
Reliance has partnered with different organizations to offer a series of tests essential in assessing the general wellness of staff members. The tests are offered onsite with the assistance of our friendly and professional staff. Tests offered onsite include PSA (prostate screening), Blood sugar, Hypertesion and weight measurements for BMI (Body Mass Index). Additional tests can be performed upon request.
Blood Transfusion
We also offer blood transfusion services and are available after hours in cases of emergency.
Microbiology
We offer a wide panel of anibiotic sensitivity tests for stool, urine culture together with wound swabs. Other tests include Urine analysis (microscopy, chemistry including microalbumin). Scientific Research
RML seeks to be the preferred laboratory for individuals and institutions doing medical research. The laboratory uses established Standard Operating Procedures for testing which means all results are of consistent high quality. We are working towards ISO certification.
Sample Collection
We offer sample collection including Pap-smears, swabs and blood collection at our laboratory. Our dedicated drivers are one call away from collecting specimen from doctors rooms and hospitals. Results can be emailed, collected from one of our branches to your doctors offices.
Haematology
Our hematology department uses the latest techonology in analysing patient samples to ensure high quality results together and quickest turnaround times. Tests include FBC, CD4, coagulation profiles, Blood film analysis for parasites and ESR.
